Seborrheic Dermatitis?

I am 27 and have recently developed seborrheic dermatitis I am not sure how this has come about as I never suffered from any dermatitis in the past It seems to get worse when I get anxious What should i do?

Seborrheic Dermatitis?
This is the kind of health problem that's related to your immune system. Be sure you're getting the proper nutrition. I have it too and when it began many years ago (I was about your age) I didn't know what it was and it only flared up occasionally. Now that I'm older it's gotten somewhat worse but I can still manage it. Most people never even notice since it tends to occur in places that are sort of hidden (eyebrows, ears etc) but I have had it flare up on my face as well. Stress and anything else that affects your immune system will cause it to show up again. Get enough rest, good food and supplements help more than any topical treatments. B complex is excellent.
Reply:Thank you very much Miss Wong. Vitamins B Complex works very well for me! So happy now!!! Thanks Report It

Reply:Use Nizoral shampoo..(anti-dandruff, contains 2% ketoconazole. Basically, Seb. Derm. is a kind of dandruff.) Wash your hair with it, take the suds and put a small amount on the affected area of your face (don't use straight from bottle, suds are best) Leave 4-5 mins, then rinse off. Report It

Reply:You can use a small amount of aqueous solution cream as a soap afterwards, if necessary.

If the Nizoral stops working after a couple of months, get a new bottle..

Also, don't scratch your scalp and then touch your face..that transfers the fungus. Report It

Reply:Check the ingredients in ALL of the soaps you use. Throw away any with sodium laureth in them, and use soap with shea butter (pure shea butter is best) ... your sehorrheic dermatitis should clear up. You can use the 'shea butter' soap to wash your hair, too ... my husband has the same condtion, and I had him throw his 'dandruff shampoo' away and now buy him 'pure shea butter' soap and his dandruff AND the seborrhea are BOTH gone! YEA!!!
Reply:Try to find out is there is something that you are allergic to and avoid it (common allergens are household chemicals, shampoos, and certain foods).

Also you may want to try anti-eczema cream and spray from http://www.champori.com It is herbal (steroid- and allergen-free) remedy and it works best for my condition: no flare ups in the last 14 months after only two weeks of treatment.

Best,

Bernadette
